David began his career as a teacher working in Scotland, Wales and England. He then moved into full time Outdoor Education at a LEA
centre before spending ten years delivering an instructor training programme for a College. Moving into centre management David has
been Head of two LEA residential centres and is a former national Chair of the Association of Heads of Outdoor Education Centres. He
has degrees in Theology, Philosophy and Education Management.
David has a good range of experience and qualifications in mountaineering, climbing, kayaking, canoeing, sailing and first aid
training and was involved in piloting the Accredited Practitioner of the Institute of Outdoor Learning award.
